Our school meal service is provided by Caterlink and the cost is £2.85 per meal, which includes a cooked meal and a dessert.
Families can book meals via ParentPay (booking by midnight on the Sunday).
Children in EYFS, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to universal infant free school meals. Be aware, you still need to book these meals on ParentPay but there will be no charge
Message from the School Meals department at Cornwall Council:
From September 2026, the Department for Education (DfE) will change the eligibility criteria for free school meals (this does not affect Universal Free School Meals which are available to children in Reception to Year 2):
• All households on Universal Credit will qualify. Income limits will no longer apply
• Free school meal entitlement will no longer be ‘protected’ once awarded. Instead, eligibility will automatically be checked at the start of each new school year
The current eligibility criteria will remain in place until the end of the 2025/26 academic year. During this time, claimants receiving Universal Credit must earn no more than £7,400 annually. This will be assessed using three of your most recent Universal Credit Statements.
If you believe your income is below this threshold but your application has been assessed as not eligible, please provide your last three months of Universal Credit statements in full for manual review. These can be submitted as screenshots or a PDF.
